Lorgues (15 min. E) An historical walk will take you through this very typical small provincial town with splendid old buildings and a beautiful market place with plane trees. Around Lorgues you have the choice of 14 vineyards.
Cotignac (20 min. W) Ocre-coloured XVIth and XVIIth century houses built against a cliff. Animated market place. Lovely walk up the cliff.
Tourtour (30 min. N) Postcard village with a magnificent view of unspoiled countryside.
Le Thoronet (10min. S) XIIth century Cistercian abbaye near the river Argens.
Sillans-la-Cascade (30 min. N) Hike to the waterfall and dive in!
Gorges du Verdon (1 h. N) Gorges of the river Verdon and Nature Reserve, with spectacular views. Perfect for hiking (GR 99 - GR 4a). Or just drive through. Awesome!
Lac de Ste-Croix (at the Gorges du Verdon's end)): 6km long lake for all aquatic sports.
Salernes (20 min. N) Typical provencal village (3000 inh.) with a reputation for handmade tiles and ceramics.
Bormes-les-Mimosas (near the coast) XIIth century village in a wonderful setting of rolling hills covered in cypresses, olive trees, mimosa, bougainvillae. Very commercialised.

(at 1 hr)
Train: Draguignan. TGV les Arcs
(at 20 mins).
Car: A8 Nice -Aix-en-Provence.

Shops:

In St-Antonin-du-Var you will find a bakery with fresh bread and pastries from the wood-oven, and a grocery for your daily shopping.
Lorgues, at 7 km, offers a large choice of shops and restaurants, and a very nice market on Tuesday mornings.
